We have been working hard in the last few months getting the seventh release ready although some of you would have received a beta release to allow updating of your postcodes. The seventh update of Fundraiser is now online and if your system has not been updated use Fundraiser Live Updates to download now.

Fundraiser - What's New?
There have many enhancements and fixes in this release. One of the major enhancements was to the Telemarketing Module which has had a major revamp. We have included a new Call Centre area that allows telemarketers to access call lists and apply call termination codes to resolve each call. Meanwhile the event management system keeps track of calls and who has responded. For more information on how Fundraiser's Telemarketing Module can assist your organisation contact us.

Further enhancements to Fundraiser's financial system. You can now enter transactions into the system faster using the new Quick Key feature. Transactions can also be allocated to a tax deductable or non deductable status, this allows receipts to show total contributions with the correct taxable amounts.

The DPI Report has been enhanced giving users the ability to run the report based on contact types. A new Statement report has also been added, allowing you to generate a statement of giving for a period for a selected contact or group of contacts.

Enhancements to the contact management system have also been made. Some fields have been widened, allowing you to enter more data. There is a new tab now called InPerson, that allows you to collect information specific to face to face visits. Each visit can then be recorded in date order. Contact cards now have a Secure Notes section where individual notes are listed and have their own timestamps. It is possible to limit access permissions to the Secure Notes for certain users.

Fundraiser Today
You may notice that changes to the page you get when you log into Fundraiser has information about the PostcodeFinder and the data cleanse process that most of you have done recently. Any ideas for this page would be most appreciated. This page is designed to be useful to you!

PostcodeFinder
The PAF file has been updated to Quarter 2 2008 from NZ Post so address searches should now be more accurate and more successful. Infosoft has continued developing the PostcodeFinder further by improving its search engine and building a new interface for customers who use a high level of security on their networks. This allows the PostcodeFinder to operate successfully within these environments. The PostcodeFinder seems to be highly utilised by our clients averaging over 600 searches per day and over 80,000 searches since February 2008.

Fundraise on Facebook
With over 70 million active users, of whom half visit the site every day, it was only a matter of time before charities started to capitalise on Facebook's popularity.
As the site grows, so too does the opportunity for all not for profit organisations to spread the word about their cause and raise much needed funds whilst doing so.
No matter how small or large your charity, the low costs and huge potential audience, makes Facebook an excellent experiment in fundraising via social networks. To learn more about this Click Here...

Staff Update
Sam Burke has joined our team here at Infosoft as a Developer. He is really good at complex problem solving and has been involved in a few projects to date including integrating Fundraiser with MYOB, and also creating a number of new features to reports for Fundraiser. Born in Dunedin he likes to play Ultimate Frisbee three nights a week, disc golf when he has the time, read a lot, and drink too much coffee.

Acxiom Data Cleanse
With the best will in the world, a batch cleanse, whilst quicker and more cost effective is unlikely to produce better results than someone sitting down and going through each record, one by one and fixing them up. But for most companies, manual cleansing is not a sensible option with regard to time or money.

Batch cleansing is required to provide solutions for the raft of issues found within a file of addresses, using a narrow point of reference. The Postal Address File (PAF) is primarily used but in many cases a series of separate lookup tables are employed to assist with the address cleansing process. Click Here...

For those of you that have not arranged to have your addresses updated you will need to do this if you wish to get bulk mailing discounts from NZ Post. To register your interest, please download this form and send to us. To download the registration form Click Here..

Infosoft has chosen to work with Acxiom to provide our clients access to a cost effective
batch cleansing service via the Acxiom Data Portal (ADP). Fundraiser's new Acxiom import/export wizard allows our users to export data and send them directly to the Acxiom Data Portal for cleansing. Once the data has been cleansed it is then re-imported into Fundraiser. To find out more about the Batch Cleansing process Click Here..
